We have an opening for an IRB DOCUMENT SPECIALIST in a fully remote or hybrid role (if local to the St. Louis, MO area).

- Screens research study submissions for completeness and ensures all necessary information and documents for review have been provided.
- Assists clients needing support during the submission process, always going the extra mile to make the process as simple as possible.
- Ensures that IRB documents are handled carefully to maintain document control, document organization, and document integrity.
- Provides support for the online portal system. Suggest improvements to the system based on client feedback, frequently asked questions, and common errors found in forms.
- Works closely with IRB Analysts to collect information and prepare documents for IRB review.
- Assists with the preparation of consent forms and other study documents.
- Performs quality control review of approved IRB documents, making sure that documents are free from typos, spacing or formatting issues, or other errors prior to releasing to clients.
- Helps distribute IRB documents and determination letters to study contacts.
- Maintains electronic records related to IRB reviews, IRB meetings, and IRB members.
- Maintains electronic records related to study sites and study contacts.
- Assists with quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities.
- Assists leadership with updating standard operating procedures, checklists, forms, and other operational documents.
- Tracks operational activities and turnaround times.
- Assists with coordination of IRB meetings, pre and postmeeting documentation, and meeting minutes as needed.
- Assists with documents related to the onboarding, offboarding and evaluation of IRB committee members as needed.
- May track other operations metric/activity data for special internal and external (client) reporting.
- May assist with client requests or inquiries as received by Client Services, as necessary.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, combined with at least 3 years’ experience in office administration processes. Alternately, a bachelor’s degree with proven skills in document editing and organizational skills would be an acceptable substitute for direct work experience.
- Keen attention to detail, ability to multitask, prioritize and remain organized.
- Strong customer service skills, ability to help others with technology, online systems.

- Comfortable with a moderate degree of repetition in work tasks.
