Location: West Chicago, IL & Surrounding Areas (Lake Forest, Highland Park, Burr Ridge, Orland Park)

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Occasional Saturdays)

Key Responsibilities:

A Pest Control Service Technician is responsible for providing pest remediation and prevention solutions to commercial or residential structures. Duties include, without limitation:

  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a pest control route. Apply pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
  • Follow a daily schedule, ensuring timely arrival at each of your customer's home. A company vehicle is provided.
  • Discuss the scope of service with the customer.
  • Assist in sales.
  • Utilize in-house training provided to decide the most efficient pest solution for your customer's needs.
  • Provide your customers with the best pest control and eradication services in the industry.
  • Recommend and provide estimates for one-time treatments and continual maintenance to new and existing customers.
  • Complete all scheduled customer appointments on time in accordance with all applicable Company policies and local rules and regulations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs.
  • Use all safety equipment as instructed.
  • Maintain professional appearance and equipment in working order including but not limited to vehicle, uniform, application equipment, PPE, paperwork, and literature etc.
  • Devote your full attention and time, during working hours, to the performance of your duties and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor and the Company.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong Communication skills effectively through verbal, written and in person.
  • Strong customer service and in-person presentation skills.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and be able to kneel and bend as necessary for a job.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Pest Control experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and be able to use an iPad (provided by the company)
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees
