Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads through both inbound and outbound cold calling as well as conducting initial outreach to potential customers. The SDR role will play a critical role in identifying and nurturing prospects through a multi-channel communication process, ultimately contributing to the growth of the sales revenue pipeline. As an SDR, you will work in close collaboration with a dedicated Account Executive (AE) in WeVideo’s International territories.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads in K12, Higher Education and Media Publishing. This includes;
    • Building and maintaining prospect lists for each vertical (focusing initially on K12 and Media), including identifying target decision maker contact details via LinkedIn and other lead generation sources (ZoomInfo).
    • Conduct outbound cold calls and emails to potential leads to generate new business pipeline.
    • Collaborate with AE to establish and optimize WeVideo messaging and pitching to target prospects in your territory.
    • Collaborate with potential external lead generation partners to optimize WeVideo’s lead generation initiatives in the International territory.
  • Qualify leads based on specific criteria and set up meetings between the AE and prospective customers.
    • Respond to and follow up on inbound leads, inquiries and requests generated through marketing efforts, in close collaboration with Account Executive.
    • When meeting with the prospect, gather information on the buyer’s needs through discovery techniques and use a set of criteria for qualification to determine the best path forward (i.e. pass to the Account Executive as next step or continuing to nurture).
    • Maintain accurate and up to date records in the Salesforce CRM of all interactions and lead activities.
  • Assist AE in addressing technical and administrative inquiries from customers and prospects in the territory. This includes:
    • Respond to customer, pilot customer, and prospect inquiries tied to the use of the WeVideo platform, bug handling, or other product-related inquiries - and collaborate with WeVideo Engineering, Product and Support to resolve issues quickly.
    • Collaborate with customers and prospects in processes tied to GDPR Data Processing Agreements, and coordinate legal inquiries with WeVideo Engineering/Data Protection Officer and WeVideo’s legal advisors.
  • Educate and engage potential customers through effective communication to create a positive initial experience with our company, where you act as a WeVideo brand ambassador.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to share insights from the market and to develop and further refine lead generation strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activities to provide insight into effective sales approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Corporate Communications (recommended but not required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with potential customers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment to execute on deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
  • A self-motivated and proactive attitude with a strong desire to achieve results and exceed goals.
