Transnetyx is seeking a full-time remote Regional Sales Manager in the United Kingdom. You are responsible for hunting large laboratory adoption of all respective services. You will work closely with the Regional Account Management team to achieve 15% genotyping revenue growth annually. You'll develop and service new and existing business in academic research institutions in a professional, ethical, and persuasive manner to increase sales within an allotted region. Models the YX Ten+ core values, mission, and vision of Transnetyx.

The most successful team member will have experience working directly with customers in Life Science, you have a strong knowledge of research laboratories and small animal models research and may have even worked in a lab at some point.

The Role

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Works closely with Regional Sales Director to develop territory sales strategy, assist with customer negotiations and complaint and issue resolution, addressing questions, and ensuring continued accountability to sales goals and standards of excellence.
  • Maintains and improves sales effectiveness by remaining current on technical and scientific information related to all offered products and services, by recommending and assisting in the development of new sales and marketing tools and strategies, and by remaining up to date on new and existing competitor services, pricing, and sales strategies.
  • Achieves 15% genotyping revenue growth, first-time sales orders when available for Genetic Monitoring and Microbiome, and achieves adoption of Artificial Mouse Intelligence software for at least 50% of current customers.
  • Achieves adoption of services by qualified large labs. Top Funded Lab Review (400+ cage laboratories).
  • Meets expectation of 20 new meetings per week (virtual or in person).
  • Upsells when applicable to current customer base into Microbiome (MB), Genetic Monitoring (GM), and Artificial Mouse Intelligence (AMI); with expectations to add new diagnostic tests to this book of business.
  • Hunts new account opportunities and works with Regional Account Managers for initial customer adoption (genotyping and Colony/AMI).
  • Schedules meetings (in-person or virtual) with all current customers to execute Account Review and introduce MB, GM and AMI where applicable.
  • Serves as liaison between customer and Product Specialists, Field Specialists, Customer Solutions, Genetic Resolutions, and Marketing.
  • Travels as expected, 50% annual schedule.
  • Researches, gathers, and evaluates information on both the market and the needs, trends, and requirements of current and potential customers to determine scale of opportunity within a specific territory.
  • Records customer profiling information in Salesforce.
  • Attends academic and national trade exhibitions shows and marketing events and conferences and responsible for pulling through leads for MB, GM, AMI.
  • Schedules customer presentations directly with institutional partners and is responsible for pulling through leads.
  • Logs all activity in Salesforce.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attends all Regional, one-to-one, and global sales team virtual meetings.
  • Responsible for the performance of {territory} (revenue growth and first-time customer orders).
  • Attends yearly summit, when offered.
  • Participates in sales training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have 10 years’ experience in sales.
  • Experience selling in Life Science field and laboratory setting preferred and highly beneficial.
  • Experience and working knowledge of selling lab services at academic research institutions are highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge regarding the changing tides of research field is highly beneficial.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must be analytical, be attentive to detail, and can prioritize and multi-task using strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate a strong work ethic including great personal drive, motivation, discipline, and initiative; including the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.

Physical Demands:

Physical activities may include hearing, standing, walking, reaching, handling and sitting for prolonged periods of time.

Extensive travel within designated regions/areas may be required.
