Overview
The Lead Implementation Consultant is primarily responsible for managing the successful onboarding and implementation of new clients onto ScholarOne Conferences, the premier submission and peer review system for scholarly conferences. This role combines technical platform knowledge with strong client communication skills, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for clients from kickoff through go-live.

Overview
The Lead Implementation Consultant is primarily responsible for managing the successful onboarding and implementation of new clients onto ScholarOne Conferences, the premier submission and peer review system for scholarly conferences. This role combines technical platform knowledge with strong client communication skills, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for clients from kickoff through go-live.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage end-to-end implementation projects for ScholarOne Conferences, coordinating tasks, timelines, and client communications to ensure successful and on-time delivery
- Conduct client needs assessments to understand conference workflows, gather requirements, and configure the platform to meet client expectations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client implementations, providing clear guidance, regular status updates, and responsive support throughout the project lifecycle
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform configuration issues, escalating complex technical challenges to Senior Implementation Consultants or Product and Support teams as needed
- Perform testing and quality assurance checks on configured environments to ensure accuracy and readiness ahead of client go-live
- Deliver client training sessions on platform functionality, administrative workflows, and best practices to ensure confident and effective platform adoption
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal documentation, templates, and implementation resources
- Apply AI tools responsibly and effectively in day-to-day work in accordance with Silverchair's usage policies, and continuously develop AI literacy to improve workflow efficiency
- 1–3 years of experience in implementation, client onboarding, technical support, or a related client-facing role
- Familiarity with ScholarOne Conferences or similar conference and submission management platforms is an advantage
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Background in or exposure to academic publishing, conference management, or peer review workflows preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a client-first mindset and a collaborative approach
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a results-driven environment with evolving priorities
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality client experiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps; familiarity with Salesforce, XML, or APIs is a plus
