Sales Development Representative for eClinical Software

About the Role and Team:

OpenClinica develops cutting edge clinical trial software that accelerates the pace of healthcare innovation. We have a rapidly growing customer base and are a globally recognized brand in clinical research with our electronic data capture (EDC), EHR integration, and electronic patient reported outcomes (ePRO) products.

OpenClinica is looking for a smart and highly motivated sales professional who wants to propel their career. As our first Sales Development Rep (SDR), you’ll work directly with our highly experienced executive leadership and sales teams. Learn from the best and put your career on the fast track!

The Sales Development Representative is the first point of contact for new prospects to discuss OpenClinica’s value proposition. The SDR plays a critical role by proactively engaging prospects to uncover their challenges, their requirements, and help determine the most appropriate solution for their needs.

Location: 100% Remote in the U.S.

Status: Full-time

Reports to: Senior Director of Sales & Marketing

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct high volume outbound, personalized lead generation via phone, email, social
  • Research to identify and build a pipeline of prospects in the clinical research field, across commercial, academic, and government sectors
  • Proactively engage with prospects, quickly and confidently establishing rapport and credibility, while applying an in-depth understanding of the clinical research domain
  • Engage in substantive, probing conversations to identify challenges that prospective customers face in their clinical research. Communicate the value of OpenClinica in a manner which aligns to each prospect’s particular needs
  • Work closely with other team members to implement and improve strategy and process
  • Maintain and update sales pipeline with thorough documentation in Salesforce
  • Enthusiastically represent the OpenClinica brand

  • Effectively qualify leads, prioritizing your time and effort on high-potential opportunities
  • Organization: practice a disciplined approach to daily activity planning, setting goals, and achieving success
  • Attitude: Demonstrate energy, passion, humor, enthusiasm, and the ability to be resilient in the face of challenges

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-4 years of sales experience
  • Goal-driven, competitive, and resilient nature
  • Superb communication skills and an engaging personality; able to listen effectively, ask the right questions, and deliver information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
  • Strong attention to detail; deadline focused
  • Ability to build rapport with clients

Salary Description:

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, the position is eligible for our variable commission plan and is expected to pay between $75,000 and $150,000 annually.
