The Technical Writer helps our customers achieve rapid success with our software by supporting an effective user experience, generating user-facing documentation and walkthroughs, and effective e-learning modules.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively pursue an in-depth understanding of clinical research user personas in order to create written content and in-line training assets that support an effective user experience, with an emphasis on rapid new user onboarding. Work closely with members of the product team to ensure these resources are available with each product release.
  • Design and build context-sensitive documentation and e-learning courses that are highly modular and can be incorporated into the end-user experience
  • Elevate documentation so that it is more than just a depiction of what’s on the screen, and incorporates best practices, examples, and other value-enhancing information
  • Develop effective instructional aids such as walkthroughs, diagrams, and videos
  • Ensure effective and rapid transfer of skills by making automated, self-paced training that is highly interactive and incorporates real system usage
  • Always focus on simplifying the customer journey as they learn and use our platform
  • Measure customer feedback and content engagement and use this data to improve usability and user onboarding going forward

About you:

  • You are uniquely passionate about how new models for training and documentation can accelerate successful technology adoption
  • You have at least 3 years work experience in instructional design and UX writing for software
  • You possess superb writing skills and a great sense for style
  • You have demonstrated experience deploying effective learning methods
  • You enjoy being very hands-on with technology
  • You have experience with e-learning systems and developing the course content they deliver
  • You possess a high level of professionalism

Nice to haves:

  • Prior experience with content authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate
  • Prior experience as a technical writer
  • Prior experience with elearning platforms such as LearnDash
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, JQuery
  • Prior experience in clinical research field

This is a full time U.S.-based remote position.
