About the Role

The Director, Business Development - Personal Injury (PI) is a strategic driver of our New York-centric market expansion into insurance companies and their claims management functions with the principal focus to secure high-impact revenue and long-term partnerships. This position introduces NAM’s first-rate Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) solutions to insurance companies across injury types (e.g. personal injury, premises liability and medical malpractice) and ensures efficient, fair, and innovative solutions for these disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new top-line revenue by identifying and capturing untapped opportunities for ADR services within enterprise and mid-market New York insurance carriers
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders including personal injury plaintiff and defense counsel, insurance claims managers, and regional legal communities within the insurance sector
  • Develop near-NY markets and geographies (i.e. New Jersey, Conneticut, and Pennsylvania) by building relationships with insurance carriers, regional associations and carrier claims hubs
  • Engage in clear closed-loop market feedback and provide trends and insights that help the organization evaluate services, pricing models and fee structures that shape future strategies

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ professional insurance sales in the New York personal injury sector
  • Understanding of insurance carriers, disputes, and claim management processes
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

What We Offer

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 per year (good-faith estimate)
