About the Role

As a Senior Paralegal / Attorney Pod Lead, you are the operational anchor of your pod. You keep work organized, prioritize what needs attention, and ensure cases move forward with accuracy and urgency. You’ll partner closely with a subrogation attorney and a group of Legal Assistants to keep the entire pod running smoothly.

Think of this role as “air traffic control”, you maintain visibility over every case, direct the flow of work, anticipate issues before they slow things down, and help prepare matters for negotiation, settlement, or recovery. When instructed by the attorney, you may also handle certain negotiation or settlement activities directly. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys coordinating moving parts, solving problems before they turn into issues, and supporting a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain full oversight of all cases within the pod, keeping work organized, timely, and moving
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks to Legal Assistants, ensuring clear instructions, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Review files, identify missing information, and prepare matters so the attorney has everything needed for settlement discussions
  • Monitor case progress daily, flag delays early, and remove blockers to keep throughput high
  • Perform higher-level paralegal activities, including document review, fact validation, and preparation of settlement materials
  • When directed by the attorney, engage in certain negotiation or settlement activities to keep cases moving and accelerate recovery
  • Communicate proactively with attorneys, adjusters, and internal teams to obtain information or resolve questions
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to Legal Assistants on workflow, quality standards, and case requirements
  • Help uphold pod performance by driving consistent throughput and supporting KPI goals
  • Ensure case updates, notes, and communication records are accurate, complete, and clear

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Paralegal certificate preferred from an ABA paralegal program
  • Proven 5+ years’ experience working in subrogation, personal injury, insurance claims, workers compensation or related industry
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with strong attention to detail
  • Experience organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort delegating work and supporting junior team members
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to spot issues early
  • Clear, confident communication, written and verbal
  • Proactive and results-driven
