As an IT Security Administrator, you will be providing direct support of infrastructure and end user systems and services. We are a heavily Mac shop with infrastructure comprised of AWS and on-prem Linux hosts, as well as VMWare boxes. The role provides first response of server incidents, management of trouble ticketing and daily maintenance / monitoring of core systems, while also providing support to end user systems. We rely on many different applications and solutions to support our employees, including LDAP, Docker, GIT, Jump Cloud and Microsoft 365. We are a 100% remote workforce since before the pandemic and will continue that methodology, using collaborative systems like MS Teams. Any candidate should expect and thrive in that sort of environment where video chat is the norm, and your teammates are spread around the Globe.

What you will be doing:

  • Cloud/Data Center Security:
  • Help define and enforce standards for access, connectivity, and general security.
  • Develop "golden images" with the latest security standards.
  • Office 365:
  • Establish highly secure configuration standards.
  • Improve and manage phishing/virus detection and response.
  • Evaluate and implement features to secure end user accounts and services.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents.
  • Vendor Security Assessments:
  • Respond to assessments from customers interested in Gurobi products.
  • Contribute to standards documentation and processes for responses.
  • Audit Observations:
  • Evaluate audit findings and help implement remediations.
  • Vulnerability Management:
  • Remediate perimeter and port scan findings.
  • Patch Management:
  • Laptops

  • 3rd Party Apps Review/Assessment:
  • Evaluate requests for new third-party applications, ensuring vendors comply with our safety and security standards.
  • Implement unified services and applications under single sign-on (SSO).
  • Endpoint Security Management:
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to security standards for Mac/Windows laptops used globally.
  • Maintain adherence to acceptable use policies.
  • Evaluate data loss prevention (DLP) technologies and solutions for implementation.
  • Create mobile device management (MDM) policies and processes.

What you should have:

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, cyber security, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, cloud, applications, and security systems.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a security administrator.
