As the Licensing Specialist at Gurobi Optimization, you will collaborate closely with the invoicing, experts and sales teams to perform various tasks, including generating licenses, issuing academic evaluation licenses, and managing licensing updates, such as system transfers or adding contacts. You will be a key stakeholder to improve licensing processes that supports the company’s growth. This role requires a strong attention to detail and is most suitable for an inquisitive individual who can work independently. The role involves handling intricate data to identify distinct deals and customer transactions.

What will you be doing?

  • Order Management and Fulfillment: Utilize CRM software to generate and deliver software license keys to customers
  • Evaluate license applications and deliver licenses for various business programs.
  • Fulfill and monitor reseller licensing requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding software orders, license inquiries, and activation issues. Provide timely and effective support to resolve customer inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the sales team for compliance with software licensing agreements, including usage audits and license reconciliation activities.
  • Propose and implement process improvements, automation solutions, or system enhancements to optimize order processing workflows.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide input and support for initiatives that impact software licensing and order processing.
  • Collaborate with experts and invoicing teams to manage the licensing case queue

What experience and qualifications should you have?

  • 5-6 years of experience in system administration, preferably gained through technical support roles.
  • Any relevant certifications obtained would be considered a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage.

What skills and abilities should you have?

  • Willingness and ability to undergo training in our specific licensing processes.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills to identify problems and devise practical solutions.
  • Agile and self-driven, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable working with international teams across different functions.
  • Content with working from a home office in a remote work environment.
  • Flexible and willing to travel as required based on the specified travel level.
  • Capable of participating in meetings across various global time zones as needed.
  • Motivated and ambitious in achieving assigned Objective Key Results (OKRs).
  • Committed to upholding our company's policies and procedures.

What other requirements should you have?

  • Experience working with Salesforce, ZenDesk or a similar CRM/ERP system.
  • Prepare to renew passport and obtain any necessary international travel documents as applicable for annual company and team offsite meeting.
  • Proficiency in using macOS and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Comfortable and willing to learn and utilize Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms would be a bonus.
