BCM One is seeking Senior Tax Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will analyze source data from multiple billing systems, record tax transactions in the accounting software, reconcile tax general ledger accounts for multiple entities and prepare Telecommunications specific Federal and State tax returns. You will also play an integral role in the accounting close for assigned entities and their related tax accruals.

Work Locations:

This is a hybrid role based out of our Blue Bell, PA office. The team is typically in the office 2 to 3 days per week with flexibility; the remaining days are work-from-home.


8/9am to 5/6pm Eastern

What You Will Do:

  • Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and file Federal quarterly and annual returns as required by the FCC. Create auditable tax return workbooks for FCC filings.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts to FCC forms 499A & 499Q. Maintain tax liability schedules and notify of necessary corrective actions.
  • Financial Operations: Create and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Collaboration: Ensure product list taxability with entity leaders and maintain compliance through collaboration with Engineering and IT.
  • Industry Engagement & Compliance: Engage with industry peers and regulatory agencies to stay updated on telecommunications tax requirements. Facilitate compliance dialogue with legal parties.
  • Audit & Issue Management: Assist with FCC audits and inquiries. Track and resolve regulatory issues with legal and management teams.
  • Continuous Learning & Strategy: Stay up to date on new policies and legalities, research tax-related topics, and participate in developing indirect tax strategies.

What You Will Need:

  • 4+ years of accounting experience in audit or indirect taxation with a SALT focus preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification, MBA or MST is a bonus.
  • Proficient knowledge of tax-on-tax topics, regulatory compliance, exemptions management, and sales & use tax laws.
  • Strong familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, Netsuite.
  • Strong Excel skills and technology abilities (Pivot tables, Power BI, V-lookups, Macros, etc.)
  • Experience with outsourced billing and tax rating systems helpful (Avalara, SureTax, Rev.IO, IDI)
  • Deadline-oriented with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels as well as customers, vendors and other external stakeholders.
